The Ryazan Machine Tool Works introduces a new model range of metal-cutting equipment,
which allow fulfilling 5-axis machining, including turning, milling, boring, drilling,
and gear processing operations of complex workpieces at one setting on one and the same machine.
These machines provide the essential decrease of primecost, and also time of production of parts in serial and short-run production.
The main advantage of the multifunctional machines of the new product range is that they provide cost reduction of for accessories by means of the concentration of operations. Due to the constant location of a workpiece in the chuck, a high accuracy of relative positioning of machined surfaced is acquired. The maximum effect of the usage of these new multifunctional machine models by the Ryazan Machine Tool Works production is achieved on the lathes which are equipped with the second spindle unit (counterspindle). It provides the whole cycle of workpiece machining on one and the same machine.
These machine models are built according to the latest achievements in the sphere of world’s machine-building, such as:
- motor-spindles;
- linear travel feeds;

- gear-belt type main and feed drives;
- thermosymmetrical constructions of the basic parts
The construction of the bed and carriage are optimized on the basis of the finite-element analysis.
To increase the machining accuracy,
the gears of the main drive are placed outside the spindle assembly.
The machines of the new range are equipped with measuring devices for workpieces and for tool position control.
The machines are designed according to the modular principle. It allows the Customer to choose the most appropriate machine design
to satisfy his particular requirements. The new range of machine models includes chuck, center, bar and two-spindle machines,
with one or two carriages, with self-centering rest, with collet or jaw chucks.
The Ryazan Machine Tool Works offers turning centers with tool spindle and tool carrier,
centers and machines with disk turrets with or without rotary tool drive.
The gear-motor with belt drive is applied as the main drive of these machines.
The design of these machining centers fully corresponds to the tendencies in the sphere of the world’s machine building development.
