Ryazan Machine Tool Works participated in the exhibition SAMUMETAL ( Italy , Pordenone ) on February 10-13 2010 in collaboration with its partner, MA.F.A.T. S.p.A. having the largest booth ¹ 11 (240 sq.m.), pavilion ¹6. MA.F.A.T. SPA exposed Ryazan lathe model 1N65-5 (swing over the bed 1000 mm , DBC – 5000 mm ) built by Ryazan Machine Tool Works. MA.F.A.T. SPA has been engaged in selling metal-cutting equipment for a long time already and it being Ryazan official representative in North – East Italy .

Italian customers were mainly interested in the newest developments of the Ryazan engineers - new range of heavy-duty CNC and conventional lathes capable of machining components up to 28 meters long, up to 80 tons. Newest heavy Ryazan CNC lathes models RT417RF3, RT950F4 and 16R150F3 were requested and discussed at the booth.

Besides, Ryazan heavy duty conventional lathes of medium size (designed on the basis of 770 and 1000 mm beds) famous by their reliability and an ability to reserve designed accuracy for more than 20 years working in hard conditions are still of great demand.

For almost 40 years of export, more than 2500 Ryazan machines shipped to Italy have perfectly proved their vibration resistance and ability to stand overloads. The image of a reliable Ryazan machine in the minds of many Italians is associated with Russia . In negotiations at the exhibition, in business correspondence of Italian agents and in Italian journals the term “TORNIO RUSSO” (Russian lathe) can be found very often. In 99 % cases this implies the lathe built by the Ryazan Machine Tool Works.

Ryazan Machine Tool Works has been working in partnership with MA.F.A.T. more than 30 years. The fifteenth exhibition SAMUMETAL- 2010 in February brought a lot of inquiries from biggest Italian customers, which would serve as a basis for further business development with MA.F.A.T. and for Ryazan export growth in 2010-2011.
