The Ryazan Machine Tool Works has celebrated its 65 th anniversary.

24On the 24 th of December 2009 the Ryazan Machine Tool Works celebrated its 65 th anniversary. The works was congratulated and awarded by such important persons as Rogov V.V., the Minister of Industry and High Technologies of the Ryazan Region; Ryabko Å . Ì ., the Ryazan Region Deputy; Bushkov U. À ., the Head of the Government Department of Outreach work; Orlova L.M., the Chairman of the Regional Committee of the Machine Builders Union, etc.

Historical background: the works was founded in 1944. On the 21 st of December 1949 the first machine tool model 164 was produced. The assembly of the machine was controlled by Sisoev I.N., who is 88 now. On the anniversary day the engineer was also rewarded.

In 1950 a foundry shop was built. In 1953 line production was organized and in 1957 the works started serial production of machine tools.

For development of cooperation in international trade the works was honoured with the international award «Gold Mercury», and in 1995 – «Gold Globe». Since 2000 the works has been practicing a purpose-oriented program of reorganizations aimed at development of certain competitive advantages in the world market.

Now at the Ryazan Machine Tool Works about 1500 machine tools are functioning including 300 CNC machines. For 5 years already the quality management system DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 has been used at the works. All products are CE certificated.

In spite of difficult economic situation the works is still working successfully, re gularly participates in all international exhibitions, for example, EÌÎ-2009 Milan. The works is constantly enhancing its machines and widening its model range.
