Lathe model 16R35F3 of the Ryazan Machine Tool Works production was exposed at Metalloobrabotka - Technoforum' 2009
Turning lathe model 16R35F3, which was exposed by the Ryazan Machine Tool Works at the Metalloobrabotka - Technoforum' 2009, Moscow, has the following special features:
1. The lathe is assembled according to the Ryazan Machine Tool Works' traditional heavy-duty execution, which allows machining workpieces by means of both force and speeding operations, using all kinds of modern tools.
2. The box-form bed of 200 mm width with two hardened guideways for the slide, which ensure the minimal reorientation of the slide.
3. The headstock with 120 mm spindle bore is mounted on the bed head-end, which allows using the lathe for machining of pump and compressor pipes, and rod-shaped units. A collet chuck may be mounted as a clamping device on the spindle left end. The spindle travel is transmitted from the remote double-range reducer, which ensures spindle torque up to 1900 Nm. Mounted on the heat-insulating fillings, the remote reducer prevents the heat diffusion on the headstock.
4. The spindle stock is mounted on the bed right end. It is moved with the help of spring-loaded rollers. The quill of 120 mm diameter allows mounting of Morse 5 and Morse 6 cones, and machining of workpieces of the weight up to 3500 kg.
5. The carriage assembly travels along two bed guideways. The carriage and the cross slide are reinforced with antifriction bars, which allow the minimal feed up to 0,4...0,5 mm per minute, thus ensuring machining of high accuracy and roughness up to 1,25…1,0 mm. If necessary, these characteristics may be increased due to mounting of spindle bearings of high accuracy and also due to tightening of the movable components of the carriage assembly. The coolant is supplied to the assembly from the batching system and it is switched on automatically according to the preset data.
6. The lathe has the most progressive and reliable features from the design of lathe models 1M63, 1H65, 16M30F3:
- a hardened bed (HRñ44) with two prismatic guideways;
- a bearing with controllable strain and pressure is mounted on the headstock spindle carriers;
- carriage and cross slide bearings, which are reinforced with antifriction material;
- flat guideways for the cross slide
- heavy-duty spindle stock, which is equivalent to the headstock in its rigidity. This ensures the high-quality machining by both spindle- and headstock;
- appropriate chip flow through free bed slots;
- the simplicity of servicing and maintenance of the lathe.
7. The lathe is equipped with a CNC system and feed drives of the best-known manufacturers.
